Stafn ("Stafn," "the app," "we," "us") is developed and operated by Durell Blanks. This policy explains what information Stafn collects, how it's used, and the choices you have over it. It applies to the Stafn iOS app and covers every way you can use it — signed in, signed out, on the free tier, or unlocked.
Account information. If you create an account, we collect the email address you sign up with. If you use Stafn without creating an account, we assign your device an anonymous identifier so your trackers and check-ins can be saved, and later linked to a real account if you add one.
Tracker and check-in data. The trackers you start, the tasks you define (including any custom trackers you build from scratch), and your daily check-in entries — completions, counts, durations, and any free-text notes you choose to write. This is content you create yourself; Stafn doesn't generate or infer it.
Purchase information. Stafn's one-time unlock is purchased through Apple's App Store and processed by RevenueCat. We receive confirmation that your purchase succeeded and that your account is unlocked — we never see or store your card number or other payment details.
Reminders. If you turn on daily check-in reminders, they're scheduled locally on your device — no notification token is created, stored, or sent to us.
Advertising data — free tier only. If you're on the free, ad-supported tier, our ad partner, Google AdMob, may collect device and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads. On iOS this requires your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt; declining only affects ad personalization, never the app's core features. Purchasing the one-time unlock stops ads, and this data collection, entirely.
What we don't collect. Stafn never asks for or stores photos — a task like "did you take a progress photo?" only asks you to self-confirm with a checkbox, and no image is ever uploaded or saved. Stafn also doesn't currently read from or write to Apple Health; if a future version adds that, it will be write-only (logging completed activity, never reading your health records), and this policy will be updated before it ships.
We don't use your tracker content or check-in entries for advertising, and we don't sell your personal information to anyone.
If you're in a jurisdiction with statutory data rights — such as the EU/UK's GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA — you also have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and we'll honor those requests to the extent required by applicable law. We keep your account and tracker data for as long as your account is active, so your history stays intact across devices and reinstalls. If you request deletion, we remove your personal data and content within a reasonable time, except where we're required to retain limited records — for example, purchase records — for legal or accounting purposes.
Stafn is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
We rely on industry-standard security practices from our service providers, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Our service providers may process and store data on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. By using Stafn, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.
We may update this policy as Stafn changes. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
